The house had liked Henry. He was a chatty little boy. The land envied Cheryl, she was a gutsy child. The yard missed Rebecca; she was your most interesting teen soul. Tim was just like his older brother, wise and just as brave as Rob. And Robert, a gentle soul and foolishly unaware of just how special he was.
And Gloria? Oh, Gloria! The spirits would miss the smell of her cooking, her cigarettes, and the way she tried to hold her family and sanity together.
